A Sweet Twist on Whataburgers Bacon Wrangler Double

Dallas, Texas — October 6, 2025: Whataburger has once again proved that everything is bigger — and better — in Texas. To celebrate the launch of its newest limited-time burger, the Bacon Wrangler Double, the brand teamed up with Dallas baker Sam Cade, founder of Cade’s Cakes and a contestant on Netflix’s Is It Cake?.

Sam turned Whataburger’s iconic flavors into a hyperrealistic cake that looked almost too real to eat. Hand-painted details, bacon layers, and crispy onions made the dessert a true work of edible art.

“The Bacon Wrangler Double cake was one of my most fun projects,” Sam said. “I loved mixing the Whataburger colors and textures — it really felt like the ‘Texiest cake ever made.’”

The creation took about two and a half days to complete, starting with a real-life burger run for inspiration. Fans can now see the entire behind-the-scenes process in Sam’s new video, where art, food, and Texas pride come together beautifully.
